Today, you have a chance to announce the Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. I dare to assert, that this is a major evening in whole activity of our voluntary services. Don't be afraid to entrust him with everything – said pr. Rafał Arciszewski who is a coordinator of WYD in the Białystok archdiocese. The vigil combined with the dedication of life to the Lord Jesus was one of the events of the retreat of volunteers to Turośń Kościelna. From 11th to 13th March Bialystok Bethany - like almost every month - gathered in the gymnasium in Turośń Kościelna, to pray together, get to know better and work on current voluntary tasks. On Friday, Izabela Wyszkowska, from the language section, led the animation in English. This experience can help volunteers in July with preparation of integration games for pilgrims in various parishes, as well as teach how to easily communicate with people from abroad. Saturday was very busy for us. From early morning, the youth created short scenes depicting events from the Gospels happening in Bethany. Presenting them in front of the camera, volunteers had a chance to accustom themselves to the stage fright accompanying addresses before the audience or for granting interviews media. In that time volunteers were visited also by regional television TVP Bialystok, recording their actions. The editors were also witness to paint the picture, which will be decorated the stage during this year's Diocesan Youth Day. The originators and supervisors of the work were our volunteers who are learning in the School of Visual Arts in Supraśl. Pr. Rafał moderated the discussion panel, during which the three coordinators had an opportunity to respond to questions about religion in practice, their core values, as well as the problems of a moral nature. After the discussion the Way of the Cross took place outdoors on the wooden stations trail in Turośń Kościelna. In Turośń I have an opportunity to develop my passions, I meet volunteers, I grow in faith. Together we are praying via singing, taking part in the Eucharist and adorations. We are standing with God, what is the most important thing for us. Weekend trips are the best way to prepare for WYD. Then we have plenty of time to focus on scheduled tasks. I was at every retreat for volunteers and I feel that it is my place - says Dominika Dec, the member of volunteer section.
